Know your options
Designer Tools includes Starter (free), Plus, and Pro tiers. New accounts begin on a 14-day Pro trial; after that, you either subscribe or fall back to Starter. Paid tiers unlock premium tools (Grid, Design) while Pro adds Accessibility audits and extended preferences.
- Starter: core Measure features, guidelines, and manual updates.
- Plus: unlocks Grid, Design, saved preferences, and shared guides.
- Pro: everything in Plus, plus Accessibility audits and priority updates.
Upgrade from the extension
If you are browsing on the Starter tier, look for the animated upgrade button in the toolbar or open Settings and choose Upgrade. The extension routes you to a secure checkout with your account token so the purchase is applied instantly.
- Log in when prompted; the login wall appears if the website backend is offline.
- Select a monthly or yearly plan, then complete checkout through Stripe.
- Back in the extension, you will see an "Upgraded" confirmation modal and Pro/Plus features unlock immediately.
Upgrade from the website
Visit /pricing to compare tiers outside the extension. Toggle between monthly and yearly billing, then pick the tier you want. Existing customers see a confirmation modal that explains how credits carry over before Stripe opens.
Already subscribed? Open the email with subject "Manage your Designer Tools subscription" or head to /login/profile after signing in. That page loads the same Tier Comparison view with your active discount and cancellation status.
Downgrade or cancel
To leave a paid tier, open Settings in the extension and click Manage Subscription. This launches the secure billing portal; you can switch to a lower tier or cancel outright. Any unused time is prorated automatically, and you keep paid access until the billing period ends. The extension shows a "Downgraded" confirmation modal once the change is processed.
Keep billing details up to date
The billing portal (Stripe) also lets you update payment methods, download invoices, and resume a cancelled plan. You can reopen the portal any time via Settings or the link on your receipt emails. If you lose access, request a new login token from the pricing page or reach out through the Feedback button in the extension toolbar.
